Eastertide · Weeks 32–34
Confirmation
Isaiah 11 comes back. The child met the sevenfold Spirit resting on the shoot in December; in May it is poured on their own forehead.
Why it is here
Point that out once, then leave it alone. Time these weeks to the child’s own date. At confirmation they renew their baptismal promises: the Creed they profess that day is the one thing nothing in either track edits. In Canada the Ascension is kept on Sunday 9 May 2027; Pentecost is Sunday 16 May.
What is it for?
The chrism. Cyril answers: anointed, they share the name of the Anointed and are called Christians (Catechesis III).
